Newham B slaughter Fallopians By the Editor (Tim Castle) First the good news: Andrew Wardle took four wickets, John Rooney took two and Chris Nagle caught an apparently impossible sky ball. And now... July 12 will for ever be etched on Fallopian hearts. Never has Fallopian batting failed so utterly. An undefeated 12 off four balls from Tim Castle was the only glimmer of hope in an otherwise dismal performance (we all know who's writing this - Ed). Granted, the bowling was tight. But the bats were in all the wrong places. Replying to 193 for six, Jeremy Clarke survived 15 balls, but could only manage to score three before losing his wicket. Rooney had already lost his, for one run, backing away and swinging at his fourth ball. Wardle was caught and bowled for three, Andy Barrow was bowled for a duck, Dave Sultanti and Chris Nagle were bowled by successive balls for one run between them. The next four balls of that over were the peak of the innings, as Castle let the mighty Morrant rebound four fast and slightly short-pitched deliveries towards or over the boundary. Paul Marinko was showing some staying power, playing a very correct straight bat. But he too fell in the next over, playing round a straight one, and it was all over. 29 all out. Where's Philip Barrass when we need him? Torquay!
