Bards clinch last-ball win

An interesting thirty over match played on a breezy May afternoon in Springfield park, Hackney, ended with captained Richard Telfer sprawled face down on the cricket square, in an unsuccessfully run out attempt as the Shakespeare CC swept past the Old Fallopians total with one ball remaining. 

OF performances to note were, the debut of South African all rounder Kurt Barendse, another good all round performance from John Shaw (who will never read this because he doesn't have internet) stoic batting from Mark Venables, excellent catching from Richard Telfer and proof he's human, dismissed for under fifty.
