JimThornhill reached a 43-run high, including three sixes, but our total of 123 was only half the runs needed to challenge the league's leviathan side.
But if we had wider and stickier hands the game might yet have taken a different course.
Mola Jutt's Jamal could have been out four or five times, but catches were narrowly missed.
A near vertical skier off a Thornhill delivery crashed to the ground between the feet of the bowler and keeper as each left it for the other.
The only consolation was that it took Mola Jutt 12 overs to knock off the runs -- by their own judgement, four overs too many.
