Peter Frisby's stunning bowling wiped out the memories of the previous match's dismal collapse. Frisby's four wickets for an expense of only 12 runs knocked the stuffing out of the so-called Conquerors' batting.  So bamboozled were the Cally batsmen that three of the dismissals were almost identical - balls struck too high to the off, two caught by John Shaw and one by Jim Thornhill.  Frisby's fourth scalp - of oppo captain Red Saunders - broke the mold and gave keeper Karen Hobson the chance to sieze a catch. The serious resistance came from Cally's Mike, who stroked a practised 52 not out to give the Fallopians a target. Sterling performances by Philip and Freddie Barrass, Thornhill and Fawad Omer were more than enought to polish off the runs well within the allotted overs. The only down note was a nasty cut Cally's Mike sustained to his hand as he caught a lofted ball from Philip Barrass, splitting the webbing between two fingers.  Red Saunders took his wounded colleague to hospital, but not before the game finished with a famous victory, the first league win for 14 months, for the glorious Old Fallopians.
